Re: TERAMO ABRUZZI FAMILY TREES

Ciao Lori,

My paternal bisnonni were from Abruzzo. They married in Castelli. My grandfather Antonio came to the states in about 1904 at 17 yrs old and the document has him stating he was headed to Philly to his brother. Here is a link to the marriage cert of my bisnonni Pasquale De Rosa and ...

Re: San Leonardo Parish, Teramo

Oops. Just want to make a correction. Tessa78 was the one who actually translated my bisnonno was a foundling. Misread the author. And I appreciate both of you!

Re: San Leonardo Parish, Teramo

Thank you mmogno for the wealth of information! You are the one who translated the doc stating my bisnonno was a foundling. You have been so helpful. I truly appreciate it.

I had discovered the archiviodistatoteram site about a week ago and sent an email but have not received a response as of yet ...

San Leonardo Parish, Teramo

Does anyone have information on a San Leonardo parish in Teramo circa 1842? Documents indicate that my ggf was a foundling left at "the wheel" with nothing but 2 cloth strips. I tried searching for it online, but the one I found didn't seem to be operating. In fact it was said to have been abandoned ...

Re: Can't read handwriting

Is it Domenica Di Simone? Or Domenica of Simone Cerchiara?

Re: Can't read handwriting

Wow. Thank you both sooo much. My bisnonno was abandoned with nothing but 2 strips of cloth... and has a seemingly made up name? That's quite... just wow.

Thank you so much. I have to learn more. Who raised him? Did anyone ever come back to claim him? Why was that name chosen?

Can't read handwriting

I don't know if this is too much to ask but can anyone read the handwriting regarding my family's records? I am having much difficulty making out the words and so can't even begin to translate.

The slides are 92-101.

WOW!!! I can't believe you found this! And it looks like the following pages contain more info on them. I saw this on my phone. I can't wait to sit down at my pc to look at it on a big screen so I can try to translate all the pages. Thank you SO much!

I'll look into that. But the Pennsylvania Death cert boldly states at the top it is illegal to make a copy of that doc.

Also I need to make a correction. They were married in 1869, not 1867. That was a typo.

I don't have the record number. Could you cross reference them by the birth of their son Antonio who was born on March 7th 1887? Maybe I can get the record number of the marriage in the near future.

Thank you.

Looking for translator in South Jersey/Philly for jure sanguinis app docs

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a translator in the Southern NJ area for translating my USA side documents into Italian as required by the consolate? All my searches come up with online companies. I'd prefer a person or business that I can go to in person.

Even Philly would be fine.

Thank you.

Non existent birth certificate for deceased parent

Hello,
I am gathering my documents to apply for dual citizenship, and to my surprise, my father who is now deceased does not have a birth certificate. I went to the vital statistics in Trenton, NJ USA and they could not locate them. We did an extended search to see if a delayed certificate of birth ...
