Re: Church marriage: Luigi Trovato and Maria Santoro

erudita74 wrote: 20 Sep 2021, 13:17 Appears to be correct. The other dates in the record were for the banns of marriage which resulted in no impediments to the upcoming marriage. Those were on Aug 15th, 18th, and 24th.

Erudita
Awesome. Will try to find the banns to see if there's aditional info in there

Thanks!!

Re: Church marriage: Luigi Trovato and Maria Santoro

Thanks erudita74 and salve!
I agree that's difficult sometimes to get the names right between the handwritte + latin equivalents :?

So, it seems the record is the right one!

Just to confirm:

- Date: 15-sep-1811
- Groom: Luigi Trovato
- Bride: Maria Santoro

- Groom's parents: Domenico Trovato ...

Re: Help with church marriage act translation

It's so weird, as the cover of the first register says "marriages of the Parish of Santa Lucia form 1797 to 1807", and the second "marriages of the Parish of Santa Lucia form 1803 to 1814", so some must be duplicated. On the other hand, it seems that some of the records from the first register are ...

Re: Death Record Translation and Transcription

Thank you! Is it common to have an address at the end of a death record?

Re: Death Record Translation and Transcription

Name: Ignazio Biundo
Father: Michele (remember that the names on church records are a latin version of the "regular" names, in this case in the record is "Michaelis")
Mother: Giovanna (not quite sure if Giovanna ...
