Re: Help translating death record - Balestri
The diocese was able to locate the church death record, could someone help with the translation of the mother's name?
Thank you,
D.

Re: Help with name change after coming to the US
Thanks T. I sent the note off to Giaveno now we wait :) Last night I was able to find the 1901 and 1902 births for Coazze, and the children were not listed there. Side note the records for these communes are a bit jumbled / out of order. I was able to locate Maddelena's birth record in 1875 vs the 1...

Re: Help with name change after coming to the US
Incredible thank you so much Tessa!! So Maddalena aligns to what I think is her coming over with the kids below in 1907 which matches the info from Carolina's husbands naturalization. The part that is confusing is I wonder if the sex of the child is correct perhaps flip flopped. As it appers what've...

Help with name change after coming to the US
I've ran into a bit of wall in trying to track down information on my relative Carolina Vecco who was born in Giaveno (Torino),in 1901 and came to Illinois in 1907 per the information on her husbands naturalization papers. In a prior post Biff had helped me find the logs of Giaveno on family search,...

Re: Great Grandfather Death Record.
Thanks Pippo, I did not see this marriage in the online records. I've written to the diocese to see if they could help on the marriage record of Giovanni and Luci, and will post back if they are able to locate anything. The diocese site says they have copies from 1801 onwards, but may have all recor...

Re: Great Grandfather Death Record.
Thank you Pippo. I was hopeful it would have the name of Givoanni's father, but from it and the other marriage documents I did not see it, the one document did have Anna's. As I went through the death records online starting in 1852 none of the Bonetti's had parents of Giovanni and Magheritta (so pe...

Great Grandfather Death Record.
Hello I was hoping to get a second opinion on this as I was trying to determine if this could be my GG x 5 death record Giovanni Bonetti from 1808. Trying to make sure I'm not missing something glaring. I did not have this translated in the forum, but with the help of google translate and great hand...

Re: Help translating death record - Balestri
Thank you very much Pippo! Appreciate the clarity on her mother, I had wondered what it said as I didn't think I was seeing any other female names in the document.

Re: Help translating death record Bonetti.
Thank you so much as always Pippo! It really helps to know that Giacomo was still alive as I try to track down his death record. This area is somewhat lucky in what I've found with my Northern family, is the civil records go back to 1852 for some. Really fascinating to see their signatures!

Help translating death record - Balestri
Hello, Could someone help with the translation of what I believe is the death record my great-grandmother x 4 Teresa Balestri. On her daughter's death record (Angela Bernardini) it was listed as Bal(l)estri with two L's but I believe this to be the accurate spelling based on what I can see from surn...

Help translating death record Bonetti.
Hello could someone help with the translation of this death record from 1857. Also interested if one of the informants (Giacomo Bonetti) is listed as Giuseppe's father, his age and would that be there signatures at the bottom? https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12657/an_ua192654/5Y1dEXm Thanks for...

Re: Translating Baptism record Credi and Passini
Thank you very much Pippo, that is difficult handwriting
I was surprised to see that he was listed as Joseph instead of Giuseppe on the Baptism, is this something common with how the church would record it instead of his Italian name?
