Re: Viareggio

Nope, they have no idea. They had lost contact with this side of the family altogether.
It's a strange one alright.
Maybe the father chose Vincenzo and the mother agreed. Then inbetween that and the baptism he upset her somehow and she said "right, you can go to hell,we're calling him Lazzaro ...

Re: Viareggio

Hi Farassino,

Just thought I'd let you know that I got in contact with Irish Marchetti's who are DNA matches to my wife. They actually have a photo of Lazzaro with their Father and grandparent's.
Who was their grandfather's father I hear you ask? One Pietro Marchetti!!! Vincenzo is Lazzaro and ...

Re: Viareggio

Just found a DNA cousin to my mother-in-law (grand daughter of Lazarro) who is more than likely a 2nd cousin. His grandparent's were a Venanzio Pieretti 1870-1930 and Nellie Pieretti 1891-
Looking more concrete now.

Re: Viareggio

Yes,that makes sense. Poor Libera had a tough short life.

I found records for a Casimero Marchetti in the States who's parent's were Giovanni and Clementina Marchetti.

Re: Viareggio

My wife just reminded me that her grand aunt, daughter of Lazzaro and Celide was a Clementine meaning she would have been named after her grandmother Clementina. So that add's up.
Clementine is buried in the same grave as Lazzaro in Dublin.
Maybe Lazzaro married Libera Sesti and she died, then he ...

Re: Viareggio

Good morning,

Thank you for replying,I sent a msg yesterday but it didn't go through. Strange.

As per Celide's marriage certificate her father was Abraham Nicoletti and he was a carpenter.
Her date of birth was 18th Mar 1891. Her date ...

Re: Viareggio

Hi Pippo,
We had our trip to Tuscany last week, stunning part of the world. It turn's out Lazarra and Celide were from Partigliano in the mountains. We found the graveyard that Celide is buried in and there are lots of Nicoletti's and a few Marchetti's buried there too. Does this info make it easier ...
