Thank you! So it looks like either the Roccamatisi family originated from another town, or they changed their surname/used a pseudonym for records.

Thank you Livio! Yes, it is Antonio Casamento, I have ancestors surnamed (di) Campo as well, so that's why I accidentally wrote Antonio Campo.

My great-great-grandfather was Giuseppe Carrozza, born in Monreale in 1844. I know that Sicily became part of Italy in 1860-1861, so I was hoping that there would be a military record for him, but I'm not sure if conscription started until 1870. Most people from before the 20th century had bad hygiene by modern standards. I think King Louis of France only bathed 3 times in his entire life.
