Disandro from Colli Al Volturno

Post by jdfc33 »

I am looking for information about the Disandro's of Coli Al Volturno. My grandfather was born there. I am trying to trace some family history including, some relatives still in Argentina. My grandfather arrived in the U.S. and lived in Rhode Island. I believe his father's name was Mishelle Disandro.(may be incorrect spelling) My name is jen. Any information would be helpful.

If you are serious about your family genealogy you can first obtain a book called (its an easy read) Discovering Your Italian Ancestors by Lynn Nelson and then go to the nearest branch of the Family History Library of the Mormon church and rent ouyt the microfilm for the civil records dating back to 1809 for Colli a Volturno (postale 86073) up to 1900. The records from ellis island will bring you up to date. As for Relatives in Argentina why not start off with the Argentina telephone directory at www.paginasdoradas.com.ar and look for them by surname. Get back tome when your ready to deal with Argentina as there are more records to explore. Peter
