There are numerous DORO in Italy (about 700) and 40% appear to come from veneto but the rest are spread around Italy. As you know you need to kjnow the town of origin to find your family and documents. The records on line do not show the town of origin when immigrating to South America so that you may have tgo research in Brazil. There are several websites but one that is supposed to be good is www.memorialdoimigrante.sp.gov.br/formular.html. happy New Year. Peter NYC

Andre, sounds like you are getting some great information and assistance. Peter and Suanj, you two are excellent sources of information. My great-grandmother, Giavanna Doro, is from the Veneto region, although I have no idea when she was born. She married Antonio DeBortoli, also from the Veneto region. I do know that one of their children, my grandfather, was born in 1890. The DeBortolis are from Cornuda, not sure about the Doros, but I'm assuming the same for them. I'm at a loss as to how to find more information on the great grandparents and since I don't speak or write Italian, I'm really at a loss. Best of luck to you Andre!
