Can someone help me with translation from Italian?

I am researching my ancestors in Italy and am communicating with an Italian speaking relative there. He speaks little English and I speak no Italian, so it is very difficult! We compose our correspondence in our native language and then use translate.google.com to convert it to the other's language. It works but with difficulty.

Here is one of the phrases I am having difficulty with:

1. "...ha le radici in codesti loughi, precisamente in localita Molinda (palazzo rosso)."

Google Translate gives me "...has its roots in Codest places, specifically in places Molinadi (red building)."

From the context it is in, I believe it is describing where the family may have originated from, before coming to Montecovino Rovella in the 1700s or 1800s. I can't find a literal translation for Codest or loughi nor can I find Molinadi or palazzo rosso on any online maps.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Molinda (palazzo Rossi)=temnpted to say the old red mill palace but its something close to a structure that may have been used as a mill converted from a palatial residence. =Peter=

Wow! Thanks for the quick reply, Peter! So - any idea if Molinadi (I spelled it incorrectly before!) is a municipality somewhere in Italy? Do you have any suggestion on how I might find out where? I've googled "Molinadi" to no avail.... nothing that is just Molinadi - and no translation for that single word.

Could the comune be read as " Molina di"? There is a Molina di Fumane in Verona Province.

Could the name 'Melinda' be a 'typo' because there is no place named Molinda in Italy, and peter's sugestion that the word is 'Molina' (mill) could be valid. There are several towns/villages called Molina, two of them are not far from me in the Valtellina/Como area.

But to make a proper translation 'in context' it would be easier to see the full phrase and where this is stated...

i know a Palazzo Rosso in Genua, Italy. but Genua is far away from Montecovino Rovella, which is south of Naples.

palazzo not always means a palace, also used for a villa or bigger house. and there can be often a "red house" anywhere.
