Hello and welcome to the forum. What was your grandfather's fist name? do you know his date of birth or approximately when he was born? Do you have him on any U.S. records? It's always best to gather as many U.S. records that you can about your ancestors, and learn as much as you can about them, before you try to get information from Italy.

Also, which Reggio did he come from? Reggio in Calabria or Reggio in Emilia? You have to determine which is the correct location in Italy before you can pursue research there. Locating him on a passenger list or other U.S. records can help clarify the correct location. There are also microfilmed records for both locations.

My Great Grandfaters first name in the US was Frank (Francesco?). According to the information I have he was born in Italy in 1869 and came to the United States in 1908. I am told he came with his oldest son Joseph (Guiseppie?) whom is my grandfather. This is where it gets conflicting because information says that Joseph came in 1910 not 1908.
Immediate family is not alive so information is hard to come by. The other reason is because Frank re-married in the US and did not bring over the rest of the family. I would really like to know who my great grandmother was.

Wow...this is great...confusing but great...there are a few names on the image that are new (Gunday, Frank Jr) and do not show up on the roots data. Is there a way to search for Rosa Dinunzi which is the name of Frank Sr's wife on the roots link?
