I am also curious about my maternal line. My maternal grandparents were named Pietro and Rocchetta (DiSimona) Cavallo. I know very little about them, as they both died before I was born. According to her obituary which has been saved, my grandmother was born in Pratola Peligna in 1881, one of at least seven children. My grandfather was born in 1877 or 1878, but I don't know in what comune.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pietro and Rochetta were clearly from Pratola Peligna. Is there any information to be found about their ancestors? Rose's obituary (http://search.ancestry.com/browse/view. ... PLz0q3dpid) states the she left behind six siblings in Pratola Peligna when she emigrated.
