Having problems with the Italian language? Do you need help to translate or understand an old family document? There is always someone who can help you!
I have located my great-great grandparents marriage record. Please translate with as much detail as possible for other names and dates. It is number 21 - and it is on two pages. I don't know her first name. I have deciphered it as Vennera Matufu.
The marriage promise was made on 1862 Nov 6 in the Town Hall of Montagnareale, the marriage was then celebrated in the Parish Church on the day 8th.
Groom: Carmelo Cappadona, aged 22, single, day laborer, born in Patti, domiciled in Montagnareale, son of the deceased Luigi, day laborer, and of the living Giovanna Palazzolo, peasant farmer.
Bride: Venera (one "n" only) Matafu, aged 19, single, peasant farmer, born in Librizzi, domiciled in Montagnareale, daughter of Francesco, day laborere, and of Carmela La???ia
My guess for Venera's mother's surname is "Lanaia"
Giuseppe "Pippo" Moccaldi

I have now found Venera Matafu, my great-great grandmother's birth record from Librizzi in 1842.
If someone can please translate for me I would appreciate it. I know her parents are Francesco and Carmela Lanaia, if their ages are listed that would be helpful. Thanks.
