Erudita, does it say the number of Contrada Confine? It may help.

Dolores,
Unfortunately, there is no number on Contrada Confine', but this record reads very differently from the other records you have. It says:
in questo tenimento alla Contrada Confine'
I have never before seen the word "tenimento" but I have found synonyms for it such as estate, farm, property. Contadini, or peasant/farmers, did work on properties, possibly a farm or estate, which they did not necessarily own. They may have worked as sharecroppers, which would be similar to them having been tenant farmers who would lease a small plot of land from a wealthy landlord for a period of time, such as a year at a time. In addition to the rent they would pay the landlord, they would then also have to give him a portion of the crops they grew.
So, in this record, I really don't know for sure to what the word "tenimento" refers.
