Hi, I am looking for the birth certificates of great great grandfather and grandmother.

His name is Catello Conde, son of Domingos Conde and Maria Celiana. Born in San Severino, Basilicata around 1857.

Her name is Carmella Arango, daughter of Francisco Arango and Catharina Nucciata. Her place of birth is not very clear...it´s written Cassiano "Leone" in "Cergueju" around 1864. I think that probably is Cassiano in Lecce...

Could you help me?
What should I do? I am searching but until now got nothing...

I live in Brazil and they got married here. The marriage certificate is in Portuguese but you will be able to read the places they came from.

abt Carmela ARANGO birthplace, I am pretty sure that she was born in Cassano allo Ionio ( Cosenza province)....
you can try the her Birth act searching in Cassano allo Ionio ( also spelled Cassano al Jonio) civil records by LDS microfilms:

Births, marriages, banns, marriage documents, deaths, ten year indexes.

abt Carmela Arango, I said Cassano allo Ionio as her birthplace; well searching in Cosenza archive I found a marriage record of:
Francesco ARANGO 26 old, farmhand, son of Vincenzo Arango and Caterina Calà

married in Cassano allo Ionio on 25 Feb 1843 to

Caterina NUCERITO 16 old, daughter of Domenico Nucerito and Isabella Cersosimo
I believe that they are the Carmela parents...

About San Severino: they have records in familysearch web site? I didn´t find, I must be looking in the wrong place.

Hi Patricia, on line are availables the civil records ( for San Severino Lucano as a well for Cassano allo Ionio) starting from 1866.. but because your ancestors was born before of 1866, you must order the right microfilms in a LDS center in or nearest your residence place...
