The Australian Authorities forwarded the extent of their files on Antomio Soro which I attempted to send to you and Lutherman but has been ERASED from this forum without explanation nor with my permission. Accordingly I only can offer to send the copies of the document(s) I received if you let me know where I should send them... As for the violators of my freedom of speech I can only regret such coarse action was taken. Peter

This must have been the address of Antonio's patent attorney. This makes sense, for example if an inventor in the US wants a patent it might help if he had a patent attorney in Washington, DC the capitol, who was close to the government patent office.

Thanks for sending the patent documents. In the gazette, the application and granting of the patent were both published. This is the same invention he patented in Switzerland and New Zealand at the same time, so his family must have had some money. He applied for patents in over a dozen different countries.

the same infos, but NO for to apply; he no payed the tax of patent from 30 June 1913

LIST # 229 (3rd quarter 1913) of certificates of industrial property with effect from June 30, for which it is not paid the annual fee in whole September 30, 1913 (article. Regulation 85 of the 31 January 1864, n. 1674).

Suanj, you are right, it looks like Antonio failed to pay an annual fee to keep the patent active. By this time (September 1913) he had already gotten in trouble for his desperate publicity stunt, and a little later in December he started accusing his investors the Guiliano family of stealing his secret part back on June 23, 1912. The December 1913 news gives some details showing that possibly he was in debt to the Guilianos for patent fees in 18 countries, and they were trying to take over the ownership of the invention because of this.

The murder took place later, on September 14, 1914.

The information they sent Peter (4 pages) was only general info they printed from their own website. It is regarding the general purpose of "Series D1915". I have also asked specific questions of the National Archives regarding all six of the files that are most relevant...below I've copied a quote from my post here of Oct 2...I am awaiting a response from the Archives, and will post it to Dropbox.com when it arrives so that all may see. Hopefully it will be helpful.

If Antonio was found living again in Australia in 1928, ten years after being deported, it is surprising that this did not make the newspaper headlines. It might be worth another newspaper search. Sometimes things get missed by search engines due to faulty OCR.

This website has free newspapers from Australia: trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/10659837

I may have to defer my comments to your website rather than here. I am very glad that the entire law enforcement records appear to be in your possession. Perhaps the research agents in Adelaide might be helpful to your efforts both individual and organizations which I will send to your e-mail address. Peter

I hope when you get access to the contents of the files themselves you will be able to furnish the precise birthplace for Antonio Soros in Italy and whatever else she needs. I am now diverting my attention in behalf of Suanj efforts in that regard. Thanks to you Lutherman I have become a whiz bang tour guide of the OZ National Archives. I am at your service. Peter

Dear Suanj I am going to try to zero in on this immediate problem of the precise birthplace. Is there anyplace I should concentrate my efforts? Adelaide seems promising since this is where all the files seem to have come together. I will send a PM Peter

Suanj is it possible he was a stowaway on the Oroya? A sailor on board would easily hide him for a short tirp. Peter
