Dated 30 January 1890 at 9:30 Am at the town office.
Before the official...of Barga, appeared Salvatore Santi 31, "figurista" (sculptor?), and Giovanni Santi, 35, watchmaker, (both residents of Tiglio) to declare that at 5 PM yesterday at the house in Fraia #93, died Vincenzo Serafini, age 88, landowner residing in Tiglio, born in that place to deceased Luigi, landowner residing in Tiglio in his lifetie; and to deceased Domenica Marchetti, homemaker/housewife(?), residing in her lifetime as above; and widower of Natalina Pellegrini.
Wintesses present at the recording of the act, Silvio Giannini, 28, (can not read his occupation) and Luigi Fiesoli, 31, landowner.

"Fraia" refers to the road, I believe. If you look at a current map of Tiglio (there is a Tiglio Alto and a Tiglio Basso) it appears to be the road leading to the locality of Tiglio Alto. It is identified as "Localita Tiglio Alto-Fraia)

Hi Tessa,
Thank you for your help. It seems that Vincenzo is my g-g-grandfather. I was confused since I understood that his wife was named Catalina, not Natalina. I had no information on Vincenzo's parents so this helps me a lot. I am trying so hard to make sure I have verifiable, accurate information on everyone.

I am pleased with the progress I am making as I now have records, of one form or another, for 7 out of possibly 9 of my grandfather's (Leopoldo) siblings. I am having trouble finding the birth/death records for Antonio, Leopoldo's father. But now that I know his parents are Vincenzo and Natalina, hopefully this will help. Also this may make it easier for me to find siblings of Antonio and siblings of his father, Vincenzo, since I now know that Vincenzo's parents are Luigi and Domenica. I think Antonio was born in 1835 and Vincenzo in 1802 but this remains to be confirmed.

Hi ...sorry to bother you again but in the two marriage records referred to in my previous question does it happen to state where any of the parents resided? I am trying to pinpoint all locations where data on family members might be found when I eventually come to checking on extended family.

Parents of Carlotta Marchi: Luigi - resident of Tiglio; and Maria Agostini - resident of Tiglio.

The Santi/Togneri marriage only indicates that the spouses resided in Tiglio.
