Giuseppe Felice Francesco Rocca was born 19 March 1879 @ 1:02 AM, and presented on 23 March...
Father was Generoso Rocca (Cesare Rocca was written on the record, but was corrected by the court as noted in the margin note), age 32, a laborer residing in this city of Catanzaro.
Mother was Barbara Ruga, his wife, a spinner residing with her husband.
There is an additional margin note which references the marriage in 1903 to Concetta La Cava.

Hi, can you tell us what the margin note says exactly. Does it seem odd that the Fathers name would be corrected in 1897, almost 20 years after the birth of the child ?

It is not odd at all. Corrections were often made years later when the error was discovered.

It states: The written sentence of this court on 6 September of the current year (date of entry at the end), that the present civil act be rectified and changed to read father as Generoso, and not as Cesare, as by erroneous assumptions was written. It is dated Catanzaro, 18 September 1897, and signed by the official.
