Can someone please help me translate this birth record.


29 August 1878 appeared Maria Alligato, age 30? Baby was born 25 of August? ,

Does it say who the father was or is he unknown? Also, I am really interested in the notation in the margin. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. Suzanne

The baby was born on Aug 25, 1878 to Maria Alligato, age 30, from her union with a single man who was not in any degree a relative of hers that would prevent him from recognizing the infant. The side note reads that Giuseppa Alligato married Giuseppe Giacalone in Santa Ninfa on November 12, 1896.
