father's age discrepancies in death records - Solfrizzi

I have death records 2 children of Vito Michele Solfrizzi and Margherita Ingravallo.

1818 - Lonardo, age 7 (is that an accepted name or is it a recording error?)
Vito Michele appears to be 28 years old

1828 - Fonte Maria, age 10
Vito Michele now appears to be 50 years old.

I'm very confused! is this the same person do you think? I've seen age variations across records before, but not quite this large!

I've found Lonardo's birth in 1810, father is listed as age 30. So he should be about 38 (not 28) when Lonardo died;

The records are most likely for the same Vito Michele Solfrizzi...
Ages do seem to be very fluid - I have seen a father's age listed as 30yo across 8 years of births of his children...

The birth of Lonardo (yes, that is an Italian male given name) shows Vito Michele to be 30yo. I believe that the death of Lonardo indicates an error in the age of his father, Vito Michele, and should be closer to 38, not 28.

On the death act of Fonte Maria, both parents are identified as age 50.
