Hi, please help us read a Birth record from Atripalda. It is the 1879 Birth 7 - Ireneo Occhiopinto.

This Birth Act was in the Part 2 section of Births for Atripalda. What is the difference between those births listed in Part 1 and those listed in Part 2 of the year 1879? It looks like an entry was made in the margin about a marriage performed in Atripalda with Giuseppa Gaeta ?

That is the case with this birth...

#7 - dated 8 April 1879 in Atripalda
Before the official appeared Angela Tizza(sp?) [daughter of deceased Sabino] age 70, receiver of the abandoned, residing in this town, to deliver a male child who appeared to be about 3 days old, who she found in a torn white cloth and wearing a cap on his head, and she declared was found at 3 am today at the public wheel of the abandoned in Largo Annunciata near house #1
The official gave the child the name Ireneo and the surname Occhiopinto, and consigned the child to the wetnurse Orsola Giella, wife of Costantino Iannaccone, farmers residing Comune di Aiello del Sabato, who promised to care for the child.
