Obtaining a birth certificate

Post by thcondone »

Happy New Year!

I am obtaining documents for my 1948 case, and I am having trouble locating my Grandfather's certificate di nascita.

Tomasso Cantone, born March 11 1884
Comune of Caivano
Province of Naples

Any help would be great...thanks!!

You will need to write to the Comune of Caivano for a certified copy.
Send a copy of your photo ID and an email address.

Address:
Officio dello Stato Civile
Via De Gasperi, 56
80023 Caivano (NA)
ITALY

Tessa,

Do you know if a copy of his birth record would be online? Or you must write to this town?
Just wondering in case (thcondone) can get the correct record and page number before he writes to the town maybe he should include that information.

For citizenship purpose ask for a 'estratto in modello plurilingue per motivo cittadinanza'. rather than a certified copy. Then you won't need to have it translated.
