Donna
There is a town called Castagnaro in the Province of Verona in the Veneto region, some 50 miles southwest of Venice. I don't know though about the Pietra part, as I can't find any town or frazione with both parts of what I see in the record.

That website was very useful, indeed, so it's a shame that it's not working anymore. We should still be able to track down the name of the town once we've deciphered the handwriting, which I believe we have. Yet, I've searched everywhere and can't find a town name or frazione with both words in it. Your records continue to challenge us, Donna. Sorry.

Interesting that on the town's own website, they don't mention Castagnara as part of the history of the town's name
