Marriage Act Lucia de Bello n. 216

Post by researching »

Hello my friends with great eyes,

I am looking for a marriage act for Lucia de Bello. I think I have found it. I THINK this says her father is Giuseppe, which would fit, but it would also make her about 16 or 17 years old. It's also in the Second part, so I want to know why, but I can't read anything. Could you please help me?

It starts on the previous page, but here is the link to the majority of it.

Thanks
Julie

If it helps, I think they've made their way to Patrasso, Greece.

No mention of Patrasso in this record, as far as I can tell, but this is the right Lucia.

Dated Nov 13, 1872 in Trani-

Groom: Sergio Trione, never before married, age 23, mason, born in Trani June 3, 1848
Father: Antonio Trione, shoemaker
Mother: deceased Maria (need to work on her surname); I was thinking Adragna, but that doesn't seem to be it. It definitely ends in "gna."

Bride: Lucia Di Bello, age 17, spinner, never before married; born in Trani Nov 26, 1855
Father: Giuseppe -woodworker
Mother deceased Irene Altobello

The couple had the intention of uniting in marriage

Marriage publications on July 28th and Aug 4th.

Thanks Eruidta.

Why would it be in the second part if everything happened in Trani? I thought things went in the second part if there was something different, like the marriage took place out of the country or the birth of a foundling.

Right now I'm trying to figure out what happened to Irene, Lucia's mother. I know I'll probably never know, but she died really young and only a few weeks before her 8 year old son. I wish it was easier to figure some of this out. It really bothers me when I see deaths of children or deaths of parents with young children.

I assume Lucia was married off early, because her father had been a single parent for a long time.

Do you have any ways of finding out more than what is found in the records?

Thanks again,
Julie

I know the antenati website lists the section the marriage record is in as Part II, but if you look at the cover sheet for this section, it says Primo Registro Suppletivo. In reality, it's a supplemental section of Part I, or a section that was added to Part 1 of the marriage records for 1872. The marriage took place in Trani, and all parties were residents there at the time. I don't see any mention of Patrasso in this record.

Julie
Have you narrowed down a range of years for Irene's death?
