Need help translating birth record

Post by jcharles0076 »

I am searching for a birth record for Giuseppe Spinella, 1821, Lipari.
I think I may have found it, but I'm not sure.
I was hoping someone could translate this for me and let me know if I found the right record?

I'm trying to find birth records for both Giuseppe and his wife Nunziata Tartaro, both born in 1821.

Thank you!
John

The image is a bit small to read. More readable original is here.

April 12, 1821 appeared Giuseppe Spinella, age 40, farmer, who presented a male child and declared that the child was born of Nunziata Beretta?, age 35, and himself in their home on April 11, 1821 and the child was given the name of Giuseppe.

The mother's name is difficult to read. It's slightly easier to read on the index.

I believe the mother's surname is Baratta - a name found in Lipari :-)
