translation/deciphering birth record

Post by chelleyp »

If anyone could give me the particulars off this record I'd appreciate it. It's only record no 306 I need - the other is for comparison of handwriting.
Many thanks

This is the declaration of birth of a female baby who was left in the wheel of foundlings on Mar 25th, 1856 at noon.
She seemed to be one day old, and was wrapped in ragged clothes.
She was given name Annunziata Rosella. I can't say if Rosella was meant as a surname, or as a second name (Americans would say a "middle name"). To get to know that, you should find some other record for a foundling, to see if surname is explicitly mentioned.
She was baptized on the same day in the Cathedral of Castellammare.
