Trouble Reading a Birth Certificate

Post by joybee »

Hello all --

I posted this over on the Geneology board because I needed some help learning what 'ignoti genitori' is, but now am hoping folks might help me piece together the rest of the document. Tessa78 was super generous translating this piece:
The child was presented on 18 December 1896 to the official by Angela Fiore, 40, a midwife, who presented a female child who appeared at her door at 6 AM in Via Fontana. The official imposed the names Sabina Assunta and the surname Natali on the child. Also present was married couple Consolata Sarno, age 38, farmer, and Carmine Russo, age 40, farmer, who I believe requested that the child be given over to their care.
I'm pretty ok at reading Italian that is more legible than this, but I don't have either enough vocabulary or enough familiarity with these forms to intuit whatelse might be on here -- I really appreciate folks taking a look!

Thanks!
