I believe the entry on the left (entry 20) is for the marriage of a Guiseppe Mazzu. Can you please confirm it is a Mazzu and translate the key information?

Thank you for that additional information. Can you tell me what the pubblucazioni is? Are these additional records attached to the marriage record? Is there an index for these?

Re: Marriage Translation _ Mazzu
Pubblicazioni are basicly announcements of the intended marriage. The intent to marry is posted publicly to give anyone who might have a reason to oppose the marriage (legal obstacle to marriage) to come forward. They were generally posted 3 times, on 2 consecutive Sundays, and sometimes 3 days before the marriage.jmazzu wrote: 21 Dec 2019, 19:23 Thank you for that additional information. Some towns have indexes, some do not.

Re: Marriage Translation _ Mazzu
That is very helpful information to know. I have a few other marriages that I have records for. I was able to find the pubblicazioni for these records.
1. I have the pubblicazioni for the marriage of Nicolo Mazzu to Maria Simone in 1901. I see the parent of both Nicolo and Maria are listed. Does this mean all the parents were alive at the time of the marriage?
Placido Mazzu
Maria Tumulo
Fillippe Simone
Venza Pantano

2. I found the index for the marriage of Antonino Mazzu and Vicenza Stefano.. I know they were married on 2/15/1885 in Montalbano. I also know there parents - Placido Mazzu, Maria Tumulo, Filippo Stefano and Concetta Saccone. Is there anything else in this records of interest.
