Please help :) If its not too much trouble

Post by Shanegillespie1 »

Would someone be so kind as to help me
translate this please? I think I got the gist
of it and have the correct document but I
wanted to make sure. I am not sure if I
am 100% correct on the fathers name.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Anna Francesca Gauna was born on 8 April 1891 to Clothilde Novaria, wife of Giovanni Gauna, both farmers, in the house at #7 Via Castello.

The child was presented by Marianna Bovio, age 25, in the place of the Father because she assisted in the birth, and he was absent from the town.

Thank you so very much for your help! It is so greatly appreciated! How confident are you on the spelling of “ Clothilde“ because my understanding was her name was Clotilde.

Oh man I realized I left some out. Would you mind helping with this part? Also the birth records say 1891 but italy sent US immigration 1892. Is this common?
