Help with Baptism of Rosario Antonio Schimenti

I am trying to find any information that can help me locate more information on Gandolfo Schimenti - the father. Is there a 2nd last name? It looks like "nato ex Gandulpho Schimenti alias Schimenit Tizzurello et Seraphina Palmeri".

Besides father, son and wife, do any of these names mean anything (e.g. Godparents would be helpful)? Are there any places listed besides Polizzi?

Rosario Antonino Schimenti was baptized on Nov 22, 1814 but born yesterday (so on the 21st).
Parents: Gandolfo Schimenti alias Tizzurello and Serafina Palmeri, a married couple of this town.
Godparents: Rosario Jaravella and Arcangela Norato, a married couple.

The Godfather would be Taravella, but otherwise excellent, thank you so much.

Yes, it's a T and not a J. Sorry about my mistake.

Any idea why there would be an alias or what that means? I am used to seeing 2 surnames in Sicily sometimes for Spanish style naming e.g. Rosario Antonino Schimenti-Tizzurello as the son of Gandolfo Schimenti and Serafina Tizzurello. If Tizzurello is a surname, it is not a common one, we have Serafina's surname (Palmeri) and I also see "alias Merlina" with this family, and I don't think the Spanish style names have the word "alias".

You might find some answers to your question about aliases in the following thread on this forum, or by searching the word "alias" under "quick links" on this forum.
