Help with translation of marriage cert - Listello

Post by JohnBhoy »

Hi all,

I looking for help translating this marriage cert - entry number 6 for Listello.

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... at=1019419

I am interested to know her parentage and any additional info relating to her as can see, (I think) that she was from Mocchie and my GGGG Grandparents were also Listello from Mocchie so may be a chance she is an ancestor/

Thank you for your help,

John

Request for Publication of Marriage Banns
Gio-Battista Valezano and Maria Ferdinanda Listello
Dated 15 July 1890 in S Antonino di Susa town hall.
The official received from the town of Mocchie, a request to publish the banns of marriage and entered it into the record:
...
Today 13 July 1890, received a request to publish the marriage contract between Giovanni Battista Giuseppe Valezano, born 11 August 1863 in S. Antonino, a farmer residing in S. Antonino; son of Giacomo [Valezano] and of Luigia Isabello, residents of Sant'Antonino... AND... Maria Ferdinanda Listello, born 5 August 1868 in Mocchie, farmer residing in Mocchie, daughter of Giovanni Battista [Listello], a resident of Mocchie, and of Maria Angela Falco, residing in Mocchie.

Marriages generally take place in the home town of the bride (in this case Mocchie) and banns are published there and also in the town of the groom if he was born somewhere else.
You should find Maria's birth act in Mocchie - dated 5 August 1868 :-)

EDIT TO ADD:

Here is the birth act of Maria Ferdinanda Listello in Mocchie in 1868 (top right)

Many thanks again Tessa78, this one doesn't fit in to what I have so far but perhaps as I find more it will be related somewhere. It may be that she is the child of a cousin or other relative as my GGG Grandmother was Angela Listello and her father was Giacomo Listello he died before 1869.

Oh well, back to the research :)

thank you again,
John
