Translate Passport Details

Post by rp76226 »

First, please translate the handwritten sentences on the top of this passport page:

https://pumafamily.smugmug.com/American ... -BSL5Zxh/A

Last, please translate the left side of this 2 page spread (if too large for your screen, can drag with your computer mouse):

https://pumafamily.smugmug.com/American ... -WnT7cM5/A

I think that the right side says that the passport is good for 3 years for a trip to New York.

Thank you. His actual birth record from Racalmuto has him born on 26 May 1896 (not 1895), which would make him 17 years old in 1913 (otherwise, 1895 would make him 18 years old). See link:

For nose, I've also seen "greco" in a Sicilian passport which I take to mean straight as opposed to aquiline or hooked like a Roman nose.

What would "regular" mean?

To be more precise, it was an Italian passport (of course) for a person living in Sicily.

Then the date is 1896 :D

That last number was difficult to read.
