Can someone please confirm my translation of Damiano Costa's death, and also where does he come from?

3rd down on right

I think it says

July 9, 1689

"Damiano, vulgarmente chiamato Miano Costa, figlio degli quondam Giacomo et Vincenza Costa, d'anni 45 in circa"

Meaning, Damiano, commonly called Miano Costa, son of the deceased Giacomo and (living? deceased?) Vincenza Costa, about 45 years old (meaning he was born ca 1644)

But does it say where Damiano was from? I can't find Damiano or Miano Costa getting married in the Monreale indexes, and the surname Costa sounds Spanish to me.

the word delli in front of the word quondam is plural-both parents deceased; the record doesn't say where he was from

Thank you, I found a marriage that is likely theirs (1628 marriage of "Jacopo" Costa and Vincenza Renda, I think that Jacopo is an older spelling or Latinization of Giacomo), so he's probably from Monreale.

I can't find his marriage, though, which leads me to suspect his wife was from another town, and possibly he married in her town. I will try to find her death record now.

Nope, Antonina Costa was also from Monreale.
