Searching for Marriage for Carlo Rana and Ippolita Armourso

Post by ameb10 »

Hello I’m searching for the marriage record of Carlo Rana and Ippolita Armourso.

From the information I have gathered so far, I believe Carlo Rana was born on July 3, 1854 in Bisceglie, Italy but I’m not sure where or when he died. Ippolita Armourso was born in Bisceglie, possibly in 1862. I think Ippolita Armourso died in Worcester, MA., USA in 1940. I’m guessing they married in Bisceglie, Italy because all of the birth locations I have for their children are within Bisceglie.

I have tried searching through Antenati, but I think I have been doing it wrong. If anyone can point me in the right direction I will be grateful

So sorry, but I had a few more questions while I was trying to read it.

1. It appears Carlo has two different mothers because there are two different women listed on his birth act and then on the marriage with Popa: Elisabetta Corlise? or Amelia De VinCinro? Is it possible Elisabetta (Corlise?) passed before the wedding and Carlo’s father Alesio Rana remarried Amelia De VinCinro?

2. Was the wedding June 15, 1878 or May 1, 1878?

Thank again!

There is only one mother mentioned in the birth of Carlo Rana.
His mother is Aurelia di Vincenzo, legitimate wife of Alesio Rana.

Elisabetta Cortese is the midwife who assisted with the birth, and presented the child at the town hall.

Marriage date is 15 June 1878.
