Translation and information help

Post by lentini »

Hi all,

I am looking for some help with the translation to the text at the bottom of this marriage certificate attached. I can see the text is in regards to the death of the father of Bruno Lodetti I believe. If someone could please translate for me what it says. I am keen to see if there are any dates of when he died.

Thank you very much.

I didn't see any reference to the date of death of Bruno.
The last part of the act states that the publications have been regular, in the dates indicated.
This marriage was celebrated in a Catholic church by the parish indicated, then registered in the register of the Comune of Orzinuovi, then a copy sent to Brescia, place of residence of the husband, and copied again on the register of that town. This because is an act after 1929.

The dates you are reading are for the publication of the banns of marriage in the town of record and the town of Brescia respectively - 16 and 23 August in town of record; and 23 and 30 August in Brescia.

You're in luck - FamilySearch has Brescia death records for the era indexed and the death of Giacomo is listed:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QRKL-TFZM

That means it is also indexed on Antenati:
https://www.antenati.san.beniculturali. ... d=32859892

Clicking the "atto di morte" link takes you to the record:
https://www.antenati.san.beniculturali. ... d=19565162

Here is a guide to what all the fields on the form mean:
