Transcribing a church marriage record

Post by marsden »

Hello.

Pippo has previously obtained a certificate from Messina for me, which was immensely helpful, but I'm now trying to obtain a copy of a marriage record from a church in Turkey. We managed to track down a file via the Family History Center (which was a great find, we'd been looking for years) and are now trying to work out what it actually says. Here's the record - there's a bigger version that can be clicked on.

What we do know is that the marriage happened in February 1853 (not written on this extract); it was between Theodor PUCHALSKI, son of Franciska (?) Puchalski, who was Polish; and Angela (but Angelisa here?) AINIS, daughter of Domenico Ainis, born in Messina. The rest is... well, I'm finding it very hard to read.

Is anyone able to transcribe the Italian, or suggest what it might be saying?

Thank you!

It's in Latin.
Teodoro is the son of Francesco.
I read bride's name as Angelica
Giuseppe "Pippo" Moccaldi

Hi,

Just come across this site and your post. If you are still searching, I have a copy of the marriage record for Theodore Puchalski and Angela Ainis, they are my Gt Gt Grandparents. Theodore was Polish and fought in the 1830 November Revolt after which he was exiled in France. He most probably ended up in Turkey after the 1848 Revolutions.

Angela's family came from Messina in Sicily. They were tailors. I have her birth certificate.

I have written a blog on my family genealogy which you may find of interest. See the links below:

Angela Ainis: https://lancstolevant.wordpress.com/202 ... antinople/

Theodore Puchalski: in 3 parts.

Part 2. https://lancstolevant.wordpress.com/201 ... f-nations/
Part 3. https://lancstolevant.wordpress.com/201 ... evantines/

Please message me if you want any further help. I would be interested to find out your connection.
