Help with marriage translation and meaning

Post by delfgill »

Hi,

See page 385: https://www.antenati.san.beniculturali. ... s_id=39618

Can someone please assist with confirming my translation below? And also explain the meaning of the notation in parentheses which references that Anna de Martino lived with the groom/her son?

Marriage on 23 March 1851 between:

Luigi de Gennaro, age 39, a blacksmith, oldest son of deceased Giovanni and Anna de Martino (there’s a notation about his mother living with her son because he is still without his paternal ancestor Saverio ??); and

Mariantonia Vecchione, age 25, oldest daughter of Francesco (Francesco’s father was Antonio) and Maria delle Armi.

Witnesses: Raffaele Balsamo, age 42; Sabato Manzi, age 36; Felice Palma, age 43; Raffaele Gallo, age 48

Thanks!

Marriage on 23 March 1851 between:

Luigi de Gennaro, age 39, a blacksmith, son of adult age of deceased Giovanni and Anna de Martinoproperty-owner living with her son; also he was without his paternal ancestor Saverio); and

Mariantonia Vecchione, age 25, spinner, daughter of of adult age of Francesco (Francesco’s father was Antonio (I can't read this)) and Maria delle Armi.
The spouses were born in Nola, and were resident there; so were their parents

Witnesses: Raffaele Balsamo, age 42; Sabato Manzi, age 36; Felice Palma, age 43; Raffaele Gallo, age 48

Thanks!

Thank you!

Is there a particular reason why reference was made to Anna living with her adult son?
