the case of the many Domenico Iacobacci/Iacobucci

Post by floweret »

hey again! it's been a while! i come here with a head scratcher! hope someone can help me out here :) i don't have a paid membership on ancestry so my search didn't go too far! okay, here's my question!

There's a lot of Domenico Iacobacci/Iacobucci in my tree. I am hoping to see if anyone to connect Domenico Iacobacci/Iacobucci (my 3rd great grandfather Domenico was born in 1848. he was married to Vincenza Maria Marino) to another Domenico Iacobacci/Iacobucci, i found (he was the son of Giuseppe Iacobacci born in 1865.)

Thank you for any help as always! :)

If you are only researching antenati records you will never solve this. You need to begin at the bottom and work up through the 1866-+ records

I looked at your family tree, and saw that there is a birth certificate of Domenico Antonio, baptized as Domenicantonio. The surname is IACOBUCCi. He is the son of Sebastiano and Vincenza Margiotta. Born in Pratola, L'Aquila, IT on 11 March 1852.
This birth certificate picture is dissonant with the rest of the information.
Even 3 wives and a slew of children, and the surname becomes Iacobacci .. I'm afraid it's easy for the reader to get confused and also I can't explain the much younger one you are looking for. Frankly, even if you want to help it is really difficult, if you don't start from firm and well-documented points. So which is your Domenico Iacobacci / Iacobucci, the one born in 1852 in pratola, or the one born in 1848, no one knows where, or a third born ... son of a Giuseppe, and who was born in 1865 Giuseppe or the son??

hey suanj !

thank you for your reply!! i am so sorry i'm late with this!

the Domenico i know i am related to has a mother named Maria Rosaria de Sanctis i don't know if that helps with anything.

i think it's what you said the MISSPELLING is probably the cause of the confusion and there's a chance i may not be related to the other one.
