Does anyone know or can anyone make out the surname of the mother of Elisabetta Allocca, Gelsomina? (#28, left)
For reference, this is in Scisciano, Napoli, Campania. Thanks!

Thank you T. What about this one, the maiden name of the mother of Orsola?

Orsola's mother looks to be Teresa Trocciola, also found Napoli.

The names appears to be Tracciola - but I do not find that in Marigliano, or even Province of Napoli

Possibly Froncillo - found in Marigliano.

Hi T

I checked the white pages and the name Trocciola is still current in Napoli. I also compared the letter T in the officials name with that of the mother's surname and they are formed similarly.

Hi T

I checked the white pages and the name Trocciola is still current in Napoli. I also compared the letter T in the second declarant's surname i.e. Nicola Trifuoggi with that of the mother's surname and they are formed similarly.

I was using my tablet earlier in the day when I first looked at the record and posted here. Now that I've had another look at the record, using my pc, I am doubly certain that Trocciola is the correct spelling of Orsola's mother's surname. While I also do not see any evidence of the surname appearing in said town of Marigliano, it is quite possibile that Orsola's mother was born elsewhere, in one of the neighbouring towns where maybe the name did appear back in the 1800's.

Remembering that not all names are recorded in the Italian white pages, the surname Trocciola is still current in Napoli Province: https://www.paginebianche.it/ricerca?qs ... &dv=Italia
