Looking for any info on my GG-father Harry Pasquale Perry (might also be Pasquale Harry Perry)
B: 17 Apr arrived in US 1884 cannot find any passenger ships that include him or early census. 1910 Census shows he arrived in 1884 and born in Italy
My grandmother's birth certificate shows Pasquale Perri as father.

correct: Harry P Perry B: 17 April 1881
Re: Perry or Perri
I noticed in the 1910 census that he may have had an older brother who also married into the Cristaldi family, John Perry aka Giovanni Perri.

Re: Perry or Perri
I saw that too. The 1930 Census shows he's from Naples Italy.
Also, I assume the surname was Perri and took on Perry in the states?

Re: Perry or Perri
I am sure it was Americanized to Perry. Besides being a city, Naples is also a province with many towns located within its boundaries.

Re: Perry or Perri
Ok. I'll see if I can't find any more hints. Thanks
Re: Perry or Perri
Well the first step in a search is to know the exact italian spelling of name:
here the marriage
Name Pasquale Perri
Sex Male
Spouse's Name Cristaldi
Marriage Date 1904
Marriage Place Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
Event Type Marriage
Section Number 178638
Pasquale PERRI married Giuseppina Cristaldi.
Now know that Harry is added to be more american... if he arrived in USA on 1884, as stated on 1910 census, and John on 1879, it could mean they may be related but we can't be sure if they were siblings...

Re: Perry or Perri
yes, they were brothers most probably:
Giovanni PERRI born in Spezzano Albanese on 21 oct 1876 #157 son of Giuseppe and of Rosina PIRRAGINE or PIRAGINO, but same maiden name is is wrote PIAINO and this is more probable spelling, because in old time, by handwriting, the name with a group of vocals for exemple PIRAINO was wrote PIRAJNO and then who transcribed in leverage index wrote Piragino.. Piraino could be right... however became most probably from PIRRAGINE first version..
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cat=414954
by decade index of Spezzano Albanese, Cosenza, Calabria IT, Pasquale PERRI was born on 1881 #76 but lacking the 1881 register

and by military leverage in Cosenza archive:

I am sure that this is the right family.
