San Mango d'Aquino Digitization Project

I am pleased to share the San Mango D’Aquino Church Record digitization and indexing project! 15 years ago Daniel Lupia and I met online because of our shared heritage in San Mango and our passion for genealogy. Four years ago we decided to work together to digitize and index the church records of the church of San Tommaso D’Aquino in San Mango. We have been very lucky in this project. The records are in excellent condition and date back to 1653, just 13 years after the founding of San Mango. Through diligent work and organization we have been able to preserve and index these records, currently we have baptism and marriage records preserved through 1925. We are working on preserving additional records including burial, christening, and Stato Di Animi (church census) records. These records will allow anyone with San Mango ancestry to trace their family back all the way to the founding of the town. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me to learn more about our project, for help with tracing your own family, or if you would like to volunteer or support the project! We have many things coming down the line in the next year, and look forward to sharing them with you!
