i would like another opinion

It could also be La Masa - a name also found in Palermo. I'm reading an M.

Re: Rosario Milanese and Francesca (can't read) last name
I'm also reading "Romano" nine lines down where it says "et quandam ...? Romano".
Regarding Francesca's surname though, which I see six lines down where it says "Rosario Milanese, et Francesca ...." I am reading Francesca's surname to be "La Masa".
(Of course I don't read Latin so I may be completely off-beat.)
Hope all is well, G.

The surname is La Masa, as Angela has determined. Here are links to the death index with her name and to the record itself:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cc=2046915
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cc=2046915
The death record is dated Aug 4, 1855. Her parents were Nicola La Masa and Rosaria Parrino, both deceased. She was the wife of Rosario Milanese. She died at about age 46 and was buried in the church of S. Giuseppe. It appears that her parents were a married couple in a place called Plati Adriani in the record (when they were alive) but I haven't been able to locate it yet.
Maybe Palazzo Adriano ??? There is actually a street called via Giuseppe La Masa in this Palermo Province town.

Linda - I'm reposting this, since my previous post was lost:
This is what I know to be true-
Benedetto Milanese and his first wife, Francesca Cannella, had at least two sons with the first name Felice born in Bisacquino. They would have been named for Benedetto’s father who was Felice (Felix in the Latin church records). The ones I found were:
Felice Milanese, son of Benedetto and Francesca Milanese dated April 1, 1785, folio 168, image 146 of 1389
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cat=969085
Felice Milanese, son of Benedetto and Francesco dated May 17, 1789, image 521 of 1389.
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cat=969085
The Francesco Milanese, who was married to Maria Geraci, was the son of Benedetto Milanese and his wife, Bernarda Rosato, was born on Jan 14, 1794, folio 111, but the record seen below is dated on Jan 15th.
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cat=969085
So Francesco was an older brother of Rosario, and not his grandfather, as the Campofiorito allegati would have you believe. After I found this record, and the following info, I also noticed that you yourself has the info on family search indicating that Francesco was an older brother of Rosario.
Francesco’s marriage publications in Campofiorito to Maria Geraci indicate that she was from Chiusa, dated Sept 29, 1825, top left
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cat=972115
Francesco’s remarriage in Campofiorito to Vincenza Tabbone Oct 26, 1858. He was the widower of Maria Geraci.

That’s all for now.
