Re: Cacioppo
Doesn't all this suggest the births were out of wedlock and the mother's name was concealed on purpose accordingly?

Re: Cacioppo
Wow lots of children and twins even..
YES I would imagine your assumption is very logical and compassionate and correct.
Michael Cacioppo is via marriage not direct so the exclusion of that unidentified mother is not my lineage---
I will add them to my tree via the marriage.
Thank you so much--- there really is lots of info... I am spending most of my time documenting this in my family tree.
I enjoy the process of the events-they become alive to me - joy celebration sadness hardship community connection.. Real Life

Do you find being able to translate more and more Italian - and reading records yourself - to be rewarding or a chore?

Re: Cacioppo
Absolutely fun! I am totally engrossed.
I am doing this as it is a part of me and want to present this legacy to my family.
i lose track of time
I am looking up words but sometimes i get off track with 3 versions. Latin vs. Italian vs English
I experience the emotions of the decisions and struggles that led to ME.
I am learning the culture and I am thankful
I am so appreciative of the help to understand further.
I am guessing this is an integral part of you as well
I hope someday to find living relatives and visit Sicily-- to walk amongst my grandfather's olive grove and enter the churches they married in etc.
