"Guasto" meaning?

Post by marialeegeiger »

Ciao! I came across an old Geocities website that lists all the families that lived in Castelpetroso. For my family name (Farro), it says the following:

THE FARRO´S

of

CASTELPETROSO

All the Farro’s lived in “Guasto”

I looked up the meaning of "guasto" and see definitions like "broken down" "damaged" or "failure"

Does that mean what I think it does?
