Hi,
Just looking for some help regarding tracking down any modern relatives or even historic information about my friends links to the the Nardelli and Perini families from Atina. For some context my friend has asked me to do some investigating on his Italian side after he recently done a DNA test.
His great grandmother was an Italian women called Ersilia Perini born in 1930 in Atina, her parents were Alfredo Perini (born roughly 1903 in Siena, was adopted) and Maria Assunta Nardelli born 1899 in Atina to Antonio Nardelli (he died prior to their marriage in 1924) and Carminella Bastianelli (they were both married in October 1890 in Atina).
I believe Maria Assunta possibly had siblings with the following names; Maria Michela, Fortunato, Giovanni, Angelo Giuseppe and Loreto.
Carminella's parents are listed as Raphaele Bastianelli and her mother was Angela Maria Di Paulo. I know Angela Maria and Raphaele had several other children all named respectively; Filomena born Aug 1847, Giuseppe born Nov 1849, Carolina(?) born Nov 1855 and Domenico born September 1852.
Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

You have this marriage of Alfredo Perini and Maria Assunta Nardelli on 10 May 1924?
In the record it states that Alfredo was born in Licenza (a town in the Metropolitan City of Rome) and not in Siena.

AND...
Here is the birth act of Maria Assunta Nardelli in 1899 with annotation of her marriage to Alfredo Perini in 1924.

In the current Italian phonebook (landlines only) there is one listing for Nardelli in Atina. You might want to write to this "potential" relative...
There are several other Nardelli listings in the surrounding area.

AND... there is one Maria Assunta Perini in that phonebook (the only Perini in the area) listed in Caira, which is about 14km from Atina.

Alfredo Perini, as you said, was a foundling.
The midwife Luigia Ronconi, 28 years old, declared the birth. The baby was born on Oct 31st, 1903 in a home situated in via del Giardino. The mother was "a woman who doesn't want to be mentioned". The midwife gave the baby personal name Alfredo and surname Perini. The baby was entrusted to Sisto Corsi to be taken to the Orphanage of Santo Spirito in Sassia in Roma, with the stuff that was found next to him (my guess is that the midwife was given the stuff by the mother, as the baby was not actually "found", but was born in a known home), i.e. a cotton bend with a medal representing Our Lady, a cap, a bodice, and two diapers, one of them coloured (I hope my translation is correct).
The side notes say that he married Mariassunta Nardelli in Atina on May 10, 1924, and Maria Tovalieri in Atina on Apr 21st, 1949
