Hi Sara,

Hope you aren't offended, but at least this post has information to go on!

Did Domenico Cura immigrate to the UK? One of his children?
When did they immigrate? Where did the settle?
What UK documentation have you obtained for this family?.....Have you placed the family on census records? Gotten death records? Ship manifest(s)? Church records?

hi
yes Domenico emigrated to the uk and i have him and his wife and children on the census in 1861.they were based in holborn in london. i cannot find death records so i am presuming they came back to italy, i know that they travelled back and forth.
they were ice cream sellers. amd also Luigi born in 1851 also imported gold and silver fish and that was taken over by another relative possibly the Campominosi family.

Just a couple of suggestions.,,,,,,Birth records of granchildren born in UK? Marriage records for their children in UK? Church records?

This is a distribution map for the surname Cura in Italy. Mainly in the province of Piemonte, so lets start there.

http://www.gens.labo.net/en/cognomi/genera.html

Providing their parents names try contacting the province archives for all their sons military records (foglio matriciare) and/or draft registration (lista di leva). If you can get several listing the same maiden name for the mother then you'll know you have the correct family & they will give you town of birth.

You may also want try writing to potential relatives. Put surname in the 1st box and province name in last & click on "cerca."

Potential relative letter.

Hope this helps & good luck in your research.
