Need help finding G. Granfather Buonaugurio Information
Hello. My great grandfather's name was Angelo Buonaugurio. He was born November 5, 1883 in Castellammare del Golfo, Trapani, Sicilia, Italy. It's been known to my family that he was raised in an orphanage and from there went into the navy. He came to America March 30, 1908. I am having trouble finding any information on him in Italy. We are unsure if he just took on the surname Buonaugurio or if that was his actual surname. I have had other family members try to find orphanage records but they are not sure where to go. We have tried a few sites. Any ideas or information if you might have it would be great.

Godparents appear to be Aloysius [Luigi] Mione and Caterina Messina, married couple.

His civil birth act is in the 1883 register but in Parte 2. #21
The act is dated 7 November and it says that the newborn looks apparently 1 day old and was found in the public wheel and was presented by the woman who found him.
He was given the name of Angelo and the surname of Buonaugurio by the official.
Angelo was entrusted to Benedetta Messina wife of Antonino Tagliavia.
