TORTORELLI surname

Post by bluaiz »

Please help me I have no idea how to find this information:

My GG grandparents immigrated to canada from italy, but I'm not sure what part of italy they're from.

Their names were:

Luigi (i think) Tortorelli and his wife Regina.
Judging by the dates I got online from their death certificates, Luigi was born in 1873 and regina in 1878. Both luigi and regina died here in Canada. They had many children but I think they were all born here.

Can any one help me?

Hi: this surname is typical south's Italy, but currently is diffused in all Italian regions, excluded Friuli Venezia Giulia and Trentino Alto Adige. Sure it was present in the years that interest to you in region: Puglia, Basilicata, Campania, Molise. Other details are necessary, like as an example wife's surname, in order to circumscribe search.

Go to www.arfchives.ca/02/02020204_e.html and inquire as to their arrival in Cvanada and town of origin. Peter NYC
