Trouble finding marriage record and more...

Hello! This is my first post here, and I'm sure it won't be the last. I've been doing a lot of research on my father's side of the family and my gggrandfather, Vincenzo Francesco Ruffolo (or Ruffalo, depending on the document), who emigrated from Marano Marchesato, Cosenza and I am starting to get a bit frustrated.

The first main issue right now is finding record of my gggrandfather's marriage in Italy. From the information I have found, both he and my gggrandmother, Filomena Chiappetta, were born in Marano Marchesato so my first guess would be that they married there as well. The problem is that I can't find any record of it. Although I am not sure how I came across it, I thought that they were married in 1905, but now I am not so sure.

The second main issue is that I also can't seem to find the correct record of Filomena's emigration on the Ellis Island website. He was born in 1886 and she was born in 1887 if that helps.

I was wondering if anyone might have access to records that I don't or may have any information that might help me out in any way. I would be so extremely appreciative!! Thank you in advance

Wldspirit WOW! Thank you so much!!! I looked and looked and could not come up with the correct passenger listing, but looks like you found it (I found the 1909 record but it said her age was 26 which didn't match)! The census information is also fantastic, thank you!

The families from Marano list was where I was able to verify when and where both were born, but only a couple of marriage records that *might* be them, and I'm not sure where to plug in the record numbers to find out for sure (I've listed them below).

Also, even though this site shows that both were born in MM, the Cosenza Archives don't show any record of either of them. Is this common or am I somehow not searching correctly?
