Searching for family

My last name is Sgamba.I'm new to this. I'm trying to find family in Italy as well as the U.S. My grandfather was born in Verbicaro in 1893. He came to the states in about 1912. His name was Pietro Antonio Sgamba. My grandmother was born in Verbicaro in 1897. She came here in about 1911-1912. Her name was Maria Angelina Cava. She told me her mother's maiden name was Cerelli. If anyone can help or if you're family, I'd really appreciate hearing from you.

Plenty of leads, but no confirmations.
Found a manifest for a Luigi Sgamba to San Francesco, found a daughter joining him - no proof they are related to Pietro Antonio Sgamba.
Pietro did name his 1st son Luigi (Vernon Louis Sgamba) in 1916
Can't find Ma Angelina's father Rosario Cava in Oakland. Found her brother Carmine Pasquale Cava on a manifest, but his name was lined off.
