Looking for ANY information on my great grandmother Josephine/ Giuseppina ASCIUTTO or grandfather Joseph/Giuseppe BOTTINO. They came from italy and made it to Illinois where the settled in Streator, and then my grandmother made it to Chicago. They had 9+ kids. We dont know much at all about their brothers and sisters, and mothers and fathers. Would apprectiate any information or fellow Asciuttos!

It is interesting to note that Giustina was 54 and Giuseppe was 42 at this birth.


HOWEVER...
On son Jack's (Giachino Bottino) birth record - Giuseppe is 40 and Giustina is 25... So probably an error on Antonetta's -

Note the discrepancy between Giuseppe Bottino's place of birth on the above birth certificate of the child in 1921 and his place of birth given as Belmonte Italy on his naturalization info I posted above.

According to the 1930 Census Joseph and Josephine were not naturalized...

The 1930 census is showing their year of immigration as 1913 and not 1912, as you stated above, and yet Giachino was born in 1912 in Illinois

Found 2 other children. Stefano must have died young. He is not on the 1930 Census. At Antonetta's birth the record lists 6 living children and 2 deceased...
