Would it be possible to have another doc. translated? This one would be for Melchiora Salamone.

I was wondering if the Monte in the doc. could be an abbreviation for the nearby town of Montefiascone, just outside of Monreale?

Melchiora Salamone, daughter of Carmelo Salamone and Angela, born in Monte on the 19th of August 1890 was baptized on the 23rd of August by the priest Benedetto La Mantia. Godmother was Provvidenza Giunta daughter of the deceased Giuseppe.

I personally believe (and I might be wrong) that when the priest mentions Monte he refers to Monreale itself. Which is the name of the Church?

When I go back to the FHC next week I'll have to see if the name of the church is on the film.

The Ufficio di Stato Civile of Monreale on May 21 1912 certifies that in their marriage registers, starting from 1898 there is no marriage record related to Rosa Lo Piccolo, daughter of Antonino and of Antonia Sanfilippo, born in Monreale on May 11 1888.
